Begüm Zorlu is a PhD Candidate in the Department of International Politics, City, University of London and a researcher on peace, social movements, and political opposition. She has been interested in social movements since 2008, and has been documenting some of the key processes of social change and moments of contention in Turkey. She has also traveled to other settings around the World to document cities, daily life and politics. Her photography is usually merged with accompanying words or quotes that has inspired her.
